On this thanksgiving day, we take time out of our busy schedules to reflect on what is important in our lives, about what we are truly thankful for. The things that usually come to mind of what we are thankful for are our friends and family. Such a simple concept, but so true. Not everyday do we really stop to think how much our friends and families have done for us, and on this day, we truly get to thank them for making a difference in our lives.
I am thankful for my big, crazy and spontaneous family. I am thankful for the unconditional love that they show me everyday. I am thankful that I have so many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents that keep all of us connected though we may be spred throughout the country. I am thankful for the tradition we have developed as a family that will be carried on for generations. I am thankful that one day I will have children and a family of my own that will be welcomed with open arms into an already amazing support system.
I am thankful for the man in my life. I am thankful for his dedication to me and to the relationship that we are working on building. I am thankful for his amazing cooking abilities that has made for us a wonderful feast on our first thanksgiving together.
I am thankful for the amazing friends that I have made throughout the years. From my high school best freinds who I haven’t seen in months, to my college best friends who I see every week. Each and every one of these people have made a mark upon my heart that can never be taken away. We have cried, laughed and made memories together throughout the years and for each of these moments I am deeply thankful.
On this thanksgiving day, my friends and famliy are really what make my life worth living. These are the people that I love, I laugh with, I confide in, and who understand me even when I don’t understand myself. It is for these people that I am truly blessed to have in my life and forever thankful for.
