In all honesty, I’m not a huge jewelry wear-er. I like simple pieces that I can wear with anything. However, I have come across a few pieces that I absolutely love and have layered together to wear all the time! I have detailed them below.
Kendra Scott
The Kendra Scott Summer 2018 line has some of my favorite pieces–specifically the Jade Rose Gold Pendant and the Julia Band Ring. I love that they are super simple but add a fun pop of color. Each of these come in a variety of beautiful summer shades. I also love that the band of the ring and the chain of the necklace come in rose gold–which is pretty much everything I own these days.
CircleCircle Jewelry
CircleCircle is my favorite local (Cincinnati) designer. Jill has created my perfect necklaces each being dainty, simple and beautiful. The best part about her pieces is how well they layer not only with other CircleCircle pieces, but pieces from other lines as well. The bar necklace is also customize-able! I was able to customize this piece with the initials of all of my cousins for Christmas and they absolutely loved it! I am a big proponent of shopping local and I’m lucky enough to have such an amazing designer in my backyard!
Kate Spade
I love everything Kate Spade. I was so sad to hear of her passing earlier this year, but her pieces will continue to live on with me. I love an initialed necklace (it’s my version of the infamous Carrie necklace–also, do I quote Sex and the City too much? Oh well…haha). This is a beautiful rose gold simple necklace that adjusts to be longer than all of my other pieces, so it fits perfectly. My favorite part is the other side of the pendant says “one in a million.”
Michael Kors
Ok, yall. This was a big purchase for me. I don’t usually buy any jewelry over $100–I’m just not quite to that point in life where expensive jewelry is my thing. However, the circumstances (and the discount) were right for this piece and I am so glad I took the plunge (even with the extensive buyers remorse). I love the idea of smart watches, however with my wardrobe during the day being business chic, I couldn’t bring myself to get an Apple watch or the like which seemed too sporty to wear to work. So when I was working on an event and my friend had on a similar watch to this one, I knew I had to have it. This one is the Michael Kors touchscreen smart watch. I love everything about it. It connects to my phone so I can easily do a quick check during a meeting (without being super rude and checking my phone) to ensure that I’m not missing any important calls, texts or emails. It has different apps that you can add on and a built in fitness feature. Even though the operating system is Google (and I have an Apple phone) it still syncs up really well, and more importantly, looks super chic.
It’s all about finding the style that works for you and your life. For me it’s simple, classy and elegant and these designers hit the nail on the head!
